(1984) turned out to be extremely strong, and in 1989 Rolling Stone placed it to the thirtieth line in the list of 100 Best Albums Of 80’s. Thus, Los Lobos signed the contract with the major record company and started working on the new material. And A Time To Dance, released in 1983, brought the well-deserved popularity to the band and attracted the music lovers’ attention. Two years later the musicians issued the Los Lobos Del Este De Los Angeles (1978) by themselves, presenting their interpretation of the famous Cuban song Guantanamera. The band’s first work Si Se Puede! appeared in 1976 and it was charitable: all the profits were sent to the fund of help to the American farmers. That well-organized quintet released numerous albums, and their long play How Will The Wolf Survive? (1984) was included into Rolling Stone’s list of the 500 Greatest Albums Of All Time. The line-up of Los Lobos remained constant since the band formation however in 1981 Steve Berlin joined the group. American band Los Lobos, performing the interesting mix of modern rock and blues and traditional Latin-American melodies, was formed in 1973 in Los-Angeles.
